PlaneShift in Other Languages
There are three parts of localizing PlaneShift- Creating a web page in local language to translate the news items present in planeshift.it web site. This is very welcome, and we are interested in having contacts with maintainers of localized pages. Please write an email to info@planeshift.it with your proposal.
- Localizing the help files and some of the ingame GUI elements. This is also very welcome, so will be easier for the people to read the help file in their own language. Being a non trivial effort, it should be coordinated by multiple people.
- Localizing the game content. It's very hard to have localized content in PlaneShift. The quests, npc dialogues, item descriptions are already hundreds pages of english text and grow/get updated very often. For the time being this kind of localization is discouraged.
As a general guideline we prefer to keep all names (stats, skills, spells) in english, so all players will have a common reference while discussing, and to translate the descriptions.
Remember that none of the web site presented here are officially supported or checked by PlaneShift team. We are not responsible for the content of such sites, or the downloads and files you may get there.
