The Setting team worked hard to stabilize the main storyline, players will be part of a big project made by the gods, that will decide the destiny of many many lives. We updated the history and races pages a bit to reflect this changes. The storyline will be part of the game in later releases, not in next one (MolecularBlue). Just a notice for everyone: Yliakum is the name of the big cavern, Hydlaa is the name of the first city.
The Engine team has made huge progress. Thanks to the synergy with the CS team and in particular Jorrit (thanks!), we have considerably improved the game performance. We also added some new features, like the possibility to customize the look of your character. Many other features are present to discover soon.
The 2D/3D team has added new places to visit and improved the ones you already know. You can find new pics of Hydlaa city in the pics pages, screenshot section. We now have also a completely new area: a cavern built centuries ago.
The Rules team improved the combat rules a lot. (Fighting will not be present in the next release). They are currently working on balancing stats and on improving available skills.
The Music team was creative and productive. We now have a good number of songs that will be present in the next release to please your ears.
The PR team expanded in size and quality. Recruting is going well.

The team is growing and improving! Thanks to Boonet for his great dedication on the 3D team.
During this period of time we:
- added the ability to interact with the world picking up objects
- added NPCs (standing)
- finalized the combat rules and the progression rules, magic is now in the work.
- expanded our setting documents.
- added more music to the game.
- added more players models, including some female ones!
- added more buildings. We finally connected Jayose library and inside of Laanx Temple to the main level.
Check the screenshot section for the new images! We will add some new rendering in the next days.
Next version is not yet scheduled, but can be ready in about two months.

The team is performing better than ever. We have a stronger 3d team now and we made big steps ahead in the combat rules.

Thanks to the team's tireless efforts and the great work of the Crystal Space team we are finally very close to releasing our first tech demo!
We don't want to delay much more the 1st release of the tech demo and so we decided to deliver a first snapshot of the current development (it's a matter of days).
In this snapshot, you wlll create your character defining stats and skills, you will be able to walk around in the center of the first city and converse with other players. This is the first chance to meet other guild members on-line!
Since this is our first public release, we are expecting to encounter many problems and bugs. We ask your forgiveness and patience as we identify and fix these problems--after all, this is why we are releasing this now.
After that first snapshot we will release monthly updates adding more content (player models, skins, sounds, new buildings and objects).
I look forward to seeing you in our new reality!

Some news from our development team:
- Our server gurus had the first chat session in our PS client!
- We have modeled the plaza around the temple of Laanx, and we are working on houses and shops surrounding it
- We have now 3 good songs for the game. You will love them.
- Our setting team is working to define better the background history of all the races.
- We made an update to the overview of Yliakum pages to have it more readable.
Some news about the demo. We are working hard to bring you the demo as fast as possible, but it's important to clarify some key points about it:
- That demo will be basically a technology demo, we will show some of the functions of the Crystal Space engine and of our server engine.
- The players will be able to look around and chat, but the combat system will not be there.
- The models, animations and textures are now VERY simple. That will enable us to test the performance of the game and then make proper models with higher polycount. That means that in the future releases you will see better models, don't be fooled by the ones in the demo.
- The server will be up/down for testing, so there will be no continuity of service.
- The characters that will be stored will be probably removed with next released of the demo.
- The world elements, such as houses, shops, etc... are placed only for testing purposes but will be probably moved/changed in future releases.
The actual target for the 1st demo is end of March.
